Laxmi Gupta is the Founding Trustee of Samarth India Foundation. She has served Government of India for almost 37 years and retired from her service in 2004.

She is an intelligent and compassionate woman with great social and emotional skills that she employs to understand people and provide them with her empathetic aid.

She was very popular at her workplace amongst her colleagues and subordinates as a very compassionate person providing them mature advice and comfort in official as well as personal situations. From the neighbours, workers and caretakers in her apartment to strangers, she is ever ready to assist people by giving her patient listening, providing counselling, information on government schemes for aid and even giving financial assistance. She is very tech savvy and ready to learn new skills.
